The central message in this paper, using data from 1614 respondents, is that households exposed to security shocks are more likely to experience higher levels of deprivation, reflecting the disruptive impact of conflict and insecurity on livelihoods, assets, and social services. Conflict and insecurity often lead to displacement, loss of productive assets, disruption of economic activities, and reduced access to education and healthcare, thereby increasing multidimensional poverty.
